LISTEN TO MY SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 IPSE DIXIT PODCAST (#613) HERE.

FUN FACT: The time between my filing the complaint in the nunchaku case (February 18, 2003) and the start of trial (January 9, 2017) was one day longer than the time Prohibition was in effect. From complaint to trial was 5,074 days. From the start of Prohibition (one year after ratification of the 18th Amendment, i.e., January 16, 1920) to the date of ratification of the 21st Amendment repealing it (December 5, 1933) was 5,073 days.

USEFUL TIP: An easy way to remember the numbers of the amendments creating and repealing Prohibition is that they are the same as the two traditional minimum drinking ages, 18 and 21.
